Mario Announces Release Date For Somebody Else Single Featuring Nicki Minaj

Nicki has been working! The Young Money Barbie already has upcoming collaborations with Cam’ron, Future, Ciara, Chris Brown and Big Sean dropping this summer, but now we can add Mario and Wale to that list too.

Mario announces that his new single featuring Nicki Minaj is called “Somebody Else” and it will drop online on Monday (May 20th). The Polow Da Don-produced song will be released on iTunes the following day (May 21st).

In related news, Wale also recently played a snippet of an unheard Minaj verse on his Vine account. So this looks he will have a track on his forthcoming The Gifted album featuring the Barbie.

Nicki Minaj Speaks On Why She Did Not Perform On American Idol’s Finale, Candice Glover Winning & New Music

After the American Idol season 12 finale last night, Nicki Minaj took part in an interview backstage with the press. The Young Money Barbie spoke on why she did not perform on the show, if she thinks Candice Glover deserved to win, and when she will start work on her upcoming studio album.

Nicki also mentioned that American Idol were supposed to premiere her High School” music video on the show, but they thought it was too “risky”, and that she will be featured on tons of new songs dropping in the summer!

Busta Rhymes Chats Working With Young Money Artists & Upcoming Song Featuring Drake

Rolling Stone recently caught up with Busta Rhymes at Premier Studios in Midtown to chat about the YMCMB crew, working with artists on the label, an upcoming Drake collaboration, and more.

Busta says that he is inspired by the talent of watching artists like Lil Wayne, Drizzy, Shanell, Mystikal, and Nicki Minaj work. He also confirmed which artists on the record label he has worked with, and announced that he has a J. Dilla produced-song which will appear on his upcoming project featuring Drizzy Drake!
