This track was supposed to be the first single from Drake‘s upcoming Thank Me Later album, but I’m not 100% sure if this song will still be a single. It’s called “Shut It Down” and features The Dream. You can stream/download the song below, and don’t forget to leave a comment with your thoughts on this record… myself, I really like it.

    Drake if you wanna establish yourself in the rap game be a rapper and do hip hop tracks, not soppy rnb tracks with the dream who I can’t fucking stand. fix up boy. Also I’m not hating on the track just saying if your a rapper at least make a whole album of hip hop for your first album.

    This track is good. The sound reminds me a bit of Brand New from So Far Gone.

    Definitely a good track, but I’m unsure of it being a single. I’m glad you went with Over instead if you were picking between these two.

    As for doing a complete “hip hop” album .. Music is your own thing .. So Far Gone worked out extremely well and I, personally enjoyed it a lot, but it wasn’t completely “hip hop”.

    Drake has established himself on the mic as a rapper and singer already. It’s worked out well so far and seems to be continuing quite well too.
