Drake Says The David Guetta Sound Doesnt Work For Him

NME recently interviewed Drake about if he would turn to David Guetta‘s sound with his music and how some artists use Guetta to get an international fanbase. Drizzy also gave praise to a British producer called Jamie xx, with who he recently worked with on “Take Care“.

“For me, the David Guetta stuff just doesn’t work. I don’t really wanna go there. There’s other artists, that’s their sound. They feel in order to thrive internationally that they gotta do straightforward, four to the floor, David Guetta, Pitbull music. I’d rather go to somebody like Jamie xx and tell him, ‘Look, I really wanna turn the club upside down, but I wanna do it with integrity, with soul’.” – MixMag

I am happy Drake said this, because I think we can all agree that he doesn’t need to turn to David Guetta‘s sound or use him for help with being successful worldwide.
