While taking a break from shooting the “Get Low” music video with Waka Flocka Flame and Tyga, MTV speaks to Nicki Minaj about her friendship with Waka on set of the video shoot.
“Waka Flocka is my brother. People know that I go way back with him and whatever he needs me to do, it gets done. He called me, he sent me a song, I said, ‘It’s nothing.’ I was finishing up my album and I said, ‘You know? I got you, it’s nothing.’”
“One thing about a blog person, they’re critics. Critics get paid to criticize a person’s life they don’t know nothing about. To a person that don’t know what’s going on, they’ll confuse my life. So I could tell you anything you don’t know, and you’ll believe it, right? But when you get the truth, it’s gonna sound like a lie.”
“When Waka came out, niggaas lost their minds. Seriously, you’d have to see the footage to understand how his hometown really is behind him. But I wanna say that Atlanta shows each other so much love. They’ve got so much camaraderie, and I fucks with that.”
