Drake To Debut New Single Featuring Aaliyah & Executive Producing Her Posthumous Album

HipHopDX is reporting that Drake will be the executive producer of Aaliyah‘s upcoming posthumous album and that his new single will feature her vocals. We all know Drizzy is a big fan of Aaliyah, because he has mentioned it plenty of times in his interviews, has portraits of her in his crib, and even has a tattoo of her on his back! Also if you remember back in April, Drake told Tim Westwood that he has some “special things” in the works with Aaliyah and that it would be “great things for music, period”.

Champagne Papi will be debuting the single at the 2012 OVO Festival in Toronto, Canada this Sunday (August 5th). I’m really looking forward to hearing this, because one of my favorite Drake songs is “Unforgettable” featuring Young Jeezy, which sampled Aaliyah‘s “At Your Best (You Are Love)“.
