Mayor Annise Parker Makes June 10th Drake Day In Houston, Drake Attends Baseball Game At Minute Maid Park

Drake kicked off his “Houston Appreciation Weekend” yesterday by attending the Houston Astros vs. Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game at the Minute Maid Park in Downtown Houston, Texas.

Before leaving the game, Drake spoke on his love for Houston, who his role models were growing up, who inspired him, and more. He also talked about meeting Lil Wayne in Houston who told him that he was interested in his music and signing him to Young Money, as well as being inspired by watching him work and listening to Tha Carter III before it was released.

In related news, the Mayor of Houston, Annise Danette Parker, handed Drizzy a certificate before the game yesterday that declares June 10th as “Drake Day” in Houston. You can view a photo of the certificate above.

For today’s events on “Houston Appreciation Weekend”, Drizzy Drake will be performing live at Warehouse Live for a concert and also attending an after-party with Weezy F Baby at The Gatsby nightclub!
