Lil Wayne’s Young Money franchise players said they look forward to learning from their camp’s general while on Young Money Presents: The America’s Most Wanted Music Festival.
“I did the I Am Music Tour. That was a great experience,” Minaj said during the America’s Most Wanted kickoff concert. “Now I have a longer set. We did the first rehearsal, and that was fun. Wayne was way more into it than I expected him to be. I’m looking forward to it.
“I don’t think people know how smart he is,” Nicki added about Weezy. “He’s a thinker. People think he’s just doing records. He has a plan for everything.”
Drake — who was forced to leave the tour after re-injuring his knee while performing with Wayne on Friday night — had hoped to watch Weezy’s set every night to pick up some gems. “I wanna get out there and give these people what I can, man,” Drake said, although he blogged on Sunday that he’ll be recovering from his injury in Toronto instead; Chris Brown made a surprise appearance at the tour’s stop in Virginia Sunday night.

Lil Wayne tells fans at New Jersey show that Drizzy injured yet another ligament in his leg when he fell onstage.
Will Drake return to Young Money Presents: The America’s Most Wanted Music Festival?
The Lil Wayne protégé took a nasty spill onstage in Camden, New Jersey, on Friday night and had to be carried off. On Saturday night, the tour — which is headlined by Lil Wayne and features Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy Tell’em, Jeremih, Pleasure P and the Young Money family — rolled into the Nikon Theater.
Usually, Drake would lead off the Young Money musical parade, which takes place during Weezy’s set. Instead, Jae Millz led off, followed by Lil Twist, Lil Chuckee, T-Streets, Tyga, Gudda Gudda and Nicki Minaj.
Wayne then announced that Drake would not be performing.
“I must let you know, we had a technical difficulty yesterday,” Wayne said of Drake’s status. “The nigga fell.”
Weezy went on to say Drake injured yet another ligament in his leg. “He goes in surgery tomorrow,” Wayne said. “This is for my nigga Drake.”
Wayne also asked the audience to pray for his friend. Organizers for the tour have not put out a statement yet about Drake’s tour status, but Drizzy did tweet Miss Info after the fall: “All is well … On the bus laying down … Getting surgery this week but I’m walking. Thank my whole YM family for the help. Lion Hearts!”
Last Sunday, on the eve of the tour’s launch, Drake told MTV News he would be performing despite a torn ACL and a prognosis from the doctors that he may not walk again should he reinjure himself too severely.
