Drake Won 2 Awards At The 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards

Earlier this month, the 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards aired on television and after being nominated 14 times in 11 categories, Drake took home 2 awards.

Drizzy was victorious in the “Album Of The Year” and “Best Hip-Hop Video” categories for his Views project and his “Hotline Bling” visual.

Drake Wins An Award At The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards

The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards took place on Sunday (August 28th) at the Madison Square Garden in New York City and Drake won 1 award at the show.

Drizzy was nominated for 5 awards at this year’s VMAs, but the 1 award he did win was in the “Best Hip-Hop Video” category for his Hotline Bling” visual, so congratulations to him on that!

Unfortunately, the 6 God was stuck in traffic when they announced he had won his award, so as he only turned up late to the awards show, he couldn’t say a speech. However, you can watch him present Rihanna with a Video Vanguard Award here!

Drake Receives 14 & Nicki Minaj Earns 2 Nominations At The 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards

The nominations for the 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards, which will be taped from the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on September 17th, have been announced.

Young Money’s Drake received a total of 14 nods and Nicki Minaj earned a total of 2 nods at this year’s awards show that will premiere on television October 4th from 8PM EST.

Drizzy was nominated in the categories: “Best Hip-Hop Video” for “Hotline Bling“, “Lyricist Of The Year”, “Best Live Performer”, “Best Collabo, Duo or Group” for “For Free“, “Jumpman” and “One Dance“, “MVP Of The Year”, “Track Of The Year” for “Controlla” and “Hotline Bling“, “Album Of The Year” for Views, “Hustler Of The Year”, “Sweet 16 – Best Featured Verse” for “Work“, “Made-You-Look Award (Best Hip-Hop Style)”, and “People’s Champ Award” for “For Free“.

Nicki picked up her nominations in the “Sweet 16 – Best Featured Verse” for “Down In The DM (Remix)” and “Made-You-Look Award (Best Hip-Hop Style)” categories. You can see who they both will be up against to win their awards after the jump below!

Drake Receives 5 Nominations At The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards

The nominations for the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards were announced earlier this week and Drake was nominated a total of five times (six times if you count Jeremy MacFarlane’s nod in the “Best Art Direction” category for “Hotline Bling“).

Drizzy was nominated in the categories “Best Female Video” for Rihanna’s “Work“, “Best Male Video” for “Hotline Bling“, “Best Collaboration” for Rihanna’s “Work“, “Best Hip-Hop Video” for “Hotline Bling“, and the big one “Video Of The Year” for “Hotline Bling“.

The 2016 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards took place in Toronto, Canada on Sunday (June 19th) and even though Drake was not in attendance, the 6 God did win four out of the six nominations he had at the awards show.

Drizzy won his awards in the categories: “Video Of The Year” for “Hotline Bling“, “Best Hip-Hop Video” for “Hotline Bling“, “Best MuchFACT Video” for “My Love” with Majid Jordan, and “Most Buzzworthy Canadian” for “Hotline Bling“.

The nominations for the 2016 Much Music Video Awards were announced a couple of days ago (May 18th) and Drake leads with a total of 6 nods.

Drizzy was nominated in the categories: “Video Of The Year” for “Hotline Bling“, “Best Hip-Hop Video” for “Hotline Bling“, “Most Buzzworthy Canadian” for “Hotline Bling“, “Best MuchFACT Video” for “My Love“, “Fan Fave Video” for “Hotline Bling“, and “Fan Fave Artist Or Group”.

This year’s Much Music Video Awards, which will be hosted by Gigi Hadid, will broadcast live on Canada’s Much and CTV channels next month on June 19th. You will also be able to stream the awards show on Much.com!

We saw yesterday that the Young Money boss Lil Wayne earned 3 nominations at the 10th annual BET Hip-Hop Awards, and now we can see that Drake received 12 nominations and Nicki Minaj received 9 nominations at the awards show.

Drizzy picked up nominations in the categories: “Best Hip-Hop Video”, “Best Collabo, Duo Or Group”, “Best Live Performer”, “Lyricist Of The Year”, “MVP Of The Year”, “Album Of The Year”, “Hustler Of The Year”, “Made-You-Look Award (Best Hip-Hop Style)”, “Sweet 16 – Best Featured Verse”, and “People’s Champ Award”.

The Barbie picked up nominations in the categories: “Best Hip-Hop Video”, “Best Collabo, Duo Or Group”, “Best Live Performer”, “Lyricist Of The Year”, “MVP Of The Year”, “Album Of The Year”, “Hustler Of The Year”, and “Made-You-Look Award (Best Hip-Hop Style)”.
