The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) have announced DJ Khaled‘s “For Free” single featuring Drake went Platinum on September 15th.
This means that the Nineteen85-produced collaboration, which can be found on Khaled‘s Major Key album, has been purchased over a million times since it was first released on June 17th.
Congratulations to DJ Khaled and the 6 God on this great achievement!
According to the RIAA, Drake‘s “One Dance” single featuring Kyla and Wizkid off his Views album has gone quadruple Platinum.
This means that the Nineteen85-produced song has been purchased over 4 million times since it was first released earlier this year on April 5th.
It is also the first track in 2016 to go 4x Platinum, so congratulations to everyone involved for this amazing achievement!
While on the red carpet at the 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards, Zaytoven chopped it up with Billboard to give a little update on his and Future‘s upcoming collaboration project – Beast Mode 16.
“We should be dropping a single within two weeks and it’s featuring Drake.”
So as you can see, Drake will be featured on the first single off Future and Zay‘s Beast Mode 16 project that will premiere in a couple of weeks.
The producer also took part in another interview recently, where he revealed the name of the collaboration will be “Used To Be“!
Back in 2014, Usher mentioned in an interview that he has an upcoming collaboration with Drake called “Slow Motion” all about relationships.
Everyone thought the song would appear on Usher‘s new album, Hard II Love, which dropped a few days ago on September 16th, but unfortunately it wasn’t on there.
In an interview with Complex, Usher revealed that he had to cut the Drizzy track from his album as it didn’t fit the project. However, he did also the say that “Slow Motion” will be released at some point in the future!
In an interview with KC, producer Zaytoven was asked about the upcoming projects he is working on to which he revealed some news about the Drake and Gucci Mane collaboration project.
Zaytoven mentioned that before 2016 ends Drizzy and GuWop will have “definitely” dropped their The 6ers joint project:
“Before the year is up you should be on the look out for The 6ers, which is Gucci Mane and Drake. That’s definitely on the way. I’m not exactly sure how I’m going to be on the project, but I’ll be all over it.”
