The 40th annual American Music Awards took place last night at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. Nicki Minaj ended up winning two awards at the show, which were “Favorite Artist – Rap/Hip-Hop” (beating out her label-mates Drake and Tyga) and “Favorite Album – Rap/Hip-Hop” for her Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album.
