Mack Maine Confirms Lil Wayne Did Not Sign A Gay Rapper To YMCMB

Over the weekend, a rumor surfaced online of Lil Wayne signing an openly gay rapper called Fly Young Red to his Young Money record label. I didn’t post about this, because it was obviously fake from just looking at the website that started the rumor.

Anyways, if you were dumb enough to believe that Weezy signed Young Red to his label, the Young Money President Mack Maine recently confirmed to XXL that the rumor is indeed false:

“No not at all.”

Mack Maine Discusses Young Thug & If He Thinks Hip-Hop Is Homophobic

In a recent interview with Vlad TV, Mack Maine discussed Young Thug and if he thinks hip-hop is homophobic.

The Young Money President confirms that Thugger is definitely affiliated with YMCMB by calling him “family” and mentions he has upcoming songs dropping later this year with artists from the crew.

VIBE Magazine recently caught up with Nicki Minaj who had some interesting advice for the non-Nicki fans, what she loved about her “Massive Attack” video, and her plan to focus more on her music. Also, check out Nicki‘s interview with DETAILS Magazine below were they speak about her fans, being gay in Hip Hop, her Father, sending Lil Wayne a gift in prison, how much she gets paid to do a feature, and plenty more:

Q: What can women get away with in hip-hop that men can’t?
A: I have a lot of freedom to be crazy. I can rap in a London accent, make weird faces, wear spandex, wigs, and black lipstick. I can be more creative than the average male rapper. And I can show my boobs. Guys can’t do that.

Q: You sign your fans’ breasts at shows. Do their boyfriends get jealous?
A: If anything, boys are telling me to sign their girls’ boobs. I’ve gone through 15 markers in a single night—because the girls are usually sweating, and a marker will stop writing if the girls are wet.

Q: As an openly bisexual rapper, do you think hip-hop is getting more gay-friendly?
A: I think the world is getting more gay-friendly, so hip-hop is too. But it’s harder to imagine an openly gay male rapper being embraced. People view gay men as having no street credibility. But I think we’ll see one in my lifetime.
