Drake Receives 3 New RIAA Certifications For Songs Off 3 Different Albums

On August 14th, Drake received 3 new certifications from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).

Drizzy‘s “Gyalchester” off More Life reached Platinum status, “Legend” off If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late reached double Platinum status, and “Controlla” off VIEWS reached triple Platinum status.

Next month, Drake will be officially releasing his Views, What A Time To Be Alive with Future and If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late projects on vinyl for fans to buy and collect.

If you wish to purchase these vinyl records, you can now pre-order them online here before they are released on October 24th, or wait until they arrive physically in retail stores on October 28th.

The 6 God‘s Views and If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late cost $34.98 individually, and What A Time To Be Alive costs $19.98. However, if you wish to buy all 3 as a bundle package, you can do so for $74.98!

After listening to the audio of this interview a few days ago, we can now watch Drake‘s sit-down interview with Beats 1 Radio’s Zane Lowe in Noah “40” Shebib’s studio. The conversation was aired on episode 20 of OVO Sound Radio on April 28th.

During the 1-hour interview, which you can watch below, Drizzy talked about plenty of things including his new album VIEWS, how The Throne were originally featured on “Pop Style“, Rihanna, not speaking to Nicki Minaj anymore, Skepta, how proud he is of The Weeknd, acting, his family, Future, What A Time To Be Alive, and releasing more music this summer.

Drizzy Drake also shared his thoughts on the current situation between Young Money and Cash Money, Lil Wayne’s beef with Birdman, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late just being a tape he recorded in his hotel room, Kanye West’s pool, the forthcoming “Summer Sixteen” tour, and more!

Quentin Miller recently sat down with Vlad TV for an interview about how he first met Drake and what it was like working with him on his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late project that he says was a highlight of his life.

Also during their conversation, Quentin discussed the controversy that surrounded IYRTITL and hopes that people can forget about all that in the future and just concentrate on how much of a great project it is.

Drake Receives 11 & Nicki Minaj Earns 1 Nomination At The 2016 Billboard Music Awards

Yesterday, the finalists for the 2016 Billboard Music Awards were announced and Young Money’s Drake and Nicki Minaj both picked up nominations. This year’s awards show will be hosted by Ludacris and Ciara at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 22nd.

Drizzy earned 11 nominations in the categories: “Top Artist”, “Top Male Artist”, “Top Billboard 200 Artist”, “Top Hot 100 Artist”, “Top Song Sales Artist”, “Top Streaming Songs Artist”, “Top Rap Artist”, “Top Rap Album”, “Top Streaming Song”, and “Top Rap Song”.

The Barbie picked up 1 nomination in the “Top Dance/Electronic Song” category for David Guetta’s “Hey Mama” single. If you are wondering how Billboard choose their finalists, it is explained below. You can also see who Drizzy Drake and Nicki will be going up against in their categories for their awards after the jump below!

Drake Take Care Goes Quadruple Platinum, If Youre Reading This Its Too Late Goes Double Platinum & What A Time To Be Alive Goes Platinum

A couple of days ago, the Recording Industry Association Of America revealed a few new certifications in the USA for Drake‘s projects after their updated rules now counts streaming, as well as sales.

According to the RIAA, the Take Care album from Drizzy is now quadruple Platinum, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is now double Platinum, and the What A Time To Be Alive joint project with Future is now Platinum.
