During their conversation, the Barbie discussed why she stepped away from social media, her forthcoming fourth studio album, changing her phone number, JAY Z, if she knew her “Monster” verse would be iconic, Drake always giving her advice, Cardi B, what went on with “Motor Sport“, Azealia Banks, Foxy Brown, Lil Wayne, and still being nervous to play her new music for Wayne because he is the “greatest rapper that ever lived”.
Before premiering her new singles “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li“, Nicki also added that she is currently shooting a new documentary which will drop with her new album, being quiet during the Drizzy vs. Meek Mill beef, the Tunechi vs. Birdmansituation, getting ready to go back on tour, and plenty more. Tune and Baby even called into the interview to speak all about Minaj!
Last year, Trina performed Nicki Minaj‘s “Moment 4 Life” song at the 2013 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards in New York City as it was a special tribute to Cash Money‘s Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams.
In a recent interview with HipHopDX, Trina spoke on performing the track at the show and how terrified she was in case she messed up any of the lyrics. However, she came over that fear as soon as she saw Nicki and Lil Wayne singing along.

Nicki Minaj recently sat down with Rocsi Diaz from ET to talk about American Idol.
The Young Money Barbie discussed if there is a real feud between her and Mariah Carey, if she thinks the media have blown their disagreement out of proportion, and why she feels nervous about a new audience watching her.
American Idol will air on FOX next week (January 16th and January 17th).
GlobalGrind recently sat down with Shanell to talk about her forthcoming mixtape Nobody’s Bitch, rumors surrounding her and Lil Wayne’s relationship, touring, horse riding, her celebrity crush, music, and more. Check out the interview after the jump below!
“Well, I have to say, I been giving lap dances during the tour, but I didn’t know Wayne was gonna jump out and pop out the back,” Nicki told MTV News. “I literally was up there trying to get a boy, then I turn around and I see this cute little dread in the chair with his legs dangling off. And I was like, ‘What?’ I was super nervous.”
The affair was one of the evening’s highlights, but ultimately, it proved to be more nightclub than gentleman’s club. “It’s just the essence of a lap dance,” Nicki said of her routine. “Now, the down and dirty? Uh uh, not yet.” – MTV
According to the Young Money queen, the performance was a far cry from her humble beginnings onstage when she used to perform mixtape cuts alongside Wayne. For starters, she was far less jittery. “It’s funny, because I remember coming on, doing 30 seconds of ‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop’ [from Lil Wayne’s Da Drought 3],” Nicki recalled to MTV News. “I was nervous for 30 seconds, and then when I came back on tour, I was doing three minutes. Now to have my own set, it’s crazy!”
After the show, the Queens lyricist spoke about finally performing a full set of her own songs. “It’s the first time I get to show me: my theatrics, my craziness, my sense of humor. A lot of times when I was doing features, I didn’t feel that it was my place to kinda interject certain things. I don’t wanna be rude to anyone’s set.”
