Drake, Nicki Minaj & Lil Wayne All Nominated At The 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards

The nominations for the 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards have been announced! Young Money’s Drake was nominated a total of eight times, Nicki Minaj was nominated a total of five times, and Lil Wayne was nominated once.

Drizzy scored his nominations in the categories “Best Live Performer”, “Lyricist Of The Year”, “MVP Of The Year”, “Hustler Of The Year”, “Best Hip-Hop Video” for “Worst Behavior“, “Album Of The Year” for Nothing Was The Same, “Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse” for “Who Do You Love?“, and “People’s Champ Award” for “Worst Behavior“.

Nicki picked up her nominations in the categories “Lyricist Of The Year”, “MVP Of The Year”, “Made-You-Look Award (Best Hip-Hop Style), “Best Hip-Hop Video” for “Pills N Potions“, and “People’s Champ Award” for “My Nigga (Remix)“, which Weezy was also nominated for too.

This year’s award show will be hosted by Snoop Dogg and taped on September 20th at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Georgia before premiering on October 14th at 8PM EST. Congratulations to Drizzy Drake, Minaj, and Tunechi on their nominations!

Drake Nothing Was The Same Album Goes Double Platinum Worldwide

Back in November last year, Drake‘s Nothing Was The Same album went Platinum, and now this weekend Chart News have announce that the album has reached double Platinum status.

According to Chart News, the Nothing Was The Same project has sold 2,040,000 copies worldwide since being released on September 24th, 2013.

Drake Receives Five Nominations At The 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Billboard have announced the nominations for their 2014 Billboard Music Awards, which will air live on ABC at 8PM EST from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, May 18th.

The only artist from Young Money to receive nominations at this year’s Billboard Music Awards is Drizzy Drake – who racked up a total of five.

Drake was nominated in the categories “Top Male Artist”, “Top Rap Artist”, “Top Billboard 200 Album” for Nothing Was The Same, “Top Rap Album” for Nothing Was The Same, and “Top R&B Song” for “Hold On, We’re Going Home” featuring Majid Jordan.

There is no word just yet on if Drizzy will be attending or even performing at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. Hopefully he takes home all the awards that he is up for!

Lukas Hodge from Noisey managed to capture a few photos from Drake‘s “Wu-Tang Forever” video shoot, which you can view after the jump below.

The video shoot took place on the rooftop of a seven-story apartment building named Watt’s Court in Harlem, New York City last night. A$AP Rocky also joined Drizzy on set!

Drake Hold On Were Going Home Single Goes Double Platinum

Two months after it went Platinum, Drake‘s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” single featuring Majid Jordan has reached double Platinum status.

According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the song has sold over 2 million digital copies since it was released four months ago.

This is crazy! Congratulations to both Drizzy and Majid on this amazing achievement!
