Drake Is The Most Streamed Artist & Has The Most Streamed Album During The First Half Of 2017

The stats for the first 6 months of 2017 are in, and Drake is one of the most-streamed music artists of the year so far.

After being named the most-streamed artist of 2016 and having the most-streamed song of last summer with “One Dance“, Drizzy is already the most-streamed artist of 2017 so far with 3.7 billion plays and also has the most-streamed album with More Life at 1.8 billion plays.

By total consumption, the 6 God is also No. 1 with 2,989,039 units, which is from 457,041 album sales, 2,366,751 song sales, and 3,442,984,476 audio streams. Congratulations to Drizzy Drake on these accolades for the first half of the year. I wonder what numbers he will have at the end of 2017!

Lil Twist Speaks On His Relationship With Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, 2 Chainz, Texas Twist, New  Money Record Label & More

Before he got locked up earlier this year, Lil Twist sat down with Robert Davis from Urban Music Report for a one on one interview.

During their conversation, Twizzy spoke on having a No. 1 single at 10-years-old for 6 weeks straight called “Texas Twist“, how that song came about, what it was like going to school with a hit single, his relationships with artists like Justin Bieber and 2 Chainz, if he thinks Hakeem’s character from Empire is based on him, the competition with the Young Money artists, his Young Carter mixtape, who he would still like to work with, his creative process for making songs, the I Feel It” music video, his New Money record label, advice for upcoming artists, and more.

Twist also told the story of how he first met Lil Wayne, how he became signed to Young Mula, his relationship with Wayne now, and what he has learned from Weezy. You can check out the full interview after the jump below!

Drake Is Billboard's Top R&B Hip Hop Artist Of 2015 & Nicki Minaj Is The Highest Female

Billboard have released their end of the year list to highlight the music artists, singles, and albums that have done the best on their charts throughout 2015.

Young Money’s Drake was named Billboard‘s top R&B/Hip-Hop artist of 2015 mainly thanks to his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late album and the songs off the project.

Drizzy‘s label-mate Nicki Minaj was named the fourth top R&B/Hip-Hop artist of the year thanks to her The Pinkprint album and the tracks off the project. She is also the highest female on the list too. Congratulations to them both!

Nicki Minaj Anaconda Single Goes 1 On iTunes, First Female Rapper To Do This

After only being released on Monday, Nicki Minaj‘s “Anaconda” single has reached #1 on the iTunes singles chart. This is an amazing achievement for Nicki, because no other female rapper has ever had the #1 spot with a solo single.

Another achievement that Minaj accomplished was being the first female rapper to have two lead singles at #1 and #2 on iTunes after her collaboration with Jessie J and Ariana Grande called “Bang Bang” sat at the #2 position.
