On December 17th, Drake performed at Stevie Wonder‘s House Full Of Toys benefit concert in Los Angeles. You can watch some footage of Drizzy performing “Best I Ever Had” above, courtesy of Rap-Up!

After the jump, Drake speaks to MTV about his upcoming collaboration project with Rick Ross titled YOLO.

“Yeah, it only makes sense, so hopefully. I’m actually going to Miami to see him this week, sit down and work on God Forgives and just work on whatever comes,” Drake told MTV News of the tag-team tape while backstage Power 106′s Cali Christmas Concert on Friday night. “Me and him usually do a few songs, so we’ll see where they end up.”

Drake Speaks On Collabo Project With Rick Ross Called “YOLO” & More

Drake recently revealed with XXL that him and Rick Ross have been talking about recording a collabo mixtape called YOLO, which is short for You Only Live Once. There is currently no release date for this project yet, but Drizzy said he wants to drop the tape without any warning or hype, so it will be a surprise for us fans!

“I have been working on a mixtape with Ross,” Drake said. “A mixtape called Y.O.L.O. That means ‘You Only Live Once’. I’ve been working on that for the last couple of weeks. We haven’t really connected because he’s been going through this thing with his health. I’ve been stashing my little beats and verses.”

“I’m really scared for my generation, you know. The thing that scares me most is Tumblr. I hate what Tumblr has become. Because it like, it reminds me of those clique-y girls in high school that used to make fun of everyone else and define what was cool, but in five years, when you all graduate, that shit doesn’t matter. No one gives a fuck about that shit. Instead of kids going out and making their own moments, they’re just taking these images and living vicariously through other people’s moments. It just kills me. Then you’ll meet them and they’re just the biggest turkey in the world. They don’t actually embody any of those things. They just emulate. It’s scary man, simulation life that we’re living. It scares me.”

“I’ll tell you, my biggest thing was, I remember, it was on twitter. I remember the day my mom was getting surgery and someone came on Twitter and they were like, ‘Yo, Drake, I hope your mom dies.’ You don’t really mean that. Like, you know you’re going to see something bad. Out of 1000 compliments, it’s so crazy. It’s basically, like, when you used to sit there as a kid, and want to know what everyone is thinking. That’s your superpower. Twitter is knowing what everyone is thinking.”

Nicki Minaj reveals to MTV that she did “You The Boss” originally for Lil Wayne over two years ago, but Wayne passed it on and now Rick Ross is using it as a single for his upcoming God Forgives, I Don’t album.

“You know what’s interesting about that song,” Minaj said while in character as her alter ego, the Female Weezy, “Nicki originally did that song for Wayne two and a half years ago.”

Wayne never ended up using the track, but it seemed all too perfect for Ricky. “It was just lingering, and then she gave it to Rick Ross,” Lady Wayne said. “I think it’s hot.”
