
In a recent interview with Pitchfork over the phone, Kyla did another interview about her work with Drake on his “One Dance” single, which also features Wizkid and will appear on the upcoming Views From The 6 album, due to drop later this month on April 29th.
The UK artist chatted about how her life has changed since “One Dance” was released, first thinking Drizzy wanting to work with her was an April Fool’s Joke, her favorite songs from the 6 God, always being a fan of him before this collaboration happened, her original “Do You Mind” song that was sampled, and more.

UK music artist Kyla recently explained to Trevor Nelson on his BBC Radio 1Xtra show in London how she ended up being featured on Drake‘s “One Dance” song, which also features Wizkid, and how she thought it was all one big April Fool’s joke.
Kyla revealed how at first Drizzy wanted to sample her “Do You Mind” collaboration with Crazy Cousinz from 2008 on his Views From The Album single before then being asked to be a feature on it.

Yesterday, D.R.A.M. accused Drake of robbing his “Cha Cha” single to create his “Hotline Bling” song, which both sample Timmy Thomas’ “Why Can’t We Live Together“, after the music video for “Hotline Bling“ was released.
It didn’t even help that when “Hotline Bling” first premiered on Beats 1 Radio’s OVO Sound Radio show, it was being called a “Cha Cha” remix. Anyway, Drizzy has addressed the similarities between both tracks in an interview with The FADER that has just surfaced online.

Last week, Sir Mix-A-Lot chopped it up with Billboard about Nicki Minaj sampling his “Baby Got Back” song on her “Anaconda” single.
The rapper/producer chatted about how the sample happened, being in contact with Nicki as she was recording “Anaconda“, the music video, nearly getting the chance to perform it live with Minaj, booty, and more.

Flow drops a leak off his forthcoming mixtape, Withdrawals, that was supposed to drop yesterday but he pushed it back as he is waiting on Lil Wayne to send him a verse over for the tape.
The Flight School Productions-produced song, which is also called “Withdrawals“, features Drop Boy Dell and samples Leonardo DiCaprio from The Wolf Of Wall Street.
