After going #1 in the UK last week with his “One Dance” single featuring Kyla and Wizkid off VIEWS, Drake has now scored his first #1 as a lead artist on Billboard’s Canadian Hot 100 chart.
I’m sure this is will come as a shock to everyone, because if you’re like me you’re wondering how it’s took so long for Drizzy to earn a No. 1 song in his hometown country.
Do you also think “One Dance” could give Drizzy Drake his first #1 in the United States of America? Because he has still not secured that title. However, he did go really close with “Hotline Bling“, which reached No. 2!
In a recent interview with Pitchfork over the phone, Kyla did another interview about her work with Drake on his “One Dance” single, which also features Wizkid and will appear on the upcoming Views From The 6 album, due to drop later this month on April 29th.
The UK artist chatted about how her life has changed since “One Dance” was released, first thinking Drizzy wanting to work with her was an April Fool’s Joke, her favorite songs from the 6 God, always being a fan of him before this collaboration happened, her original “Do You Mind” song that was sampled, and more.

According to Official Charts, Drake has finally scored his first #1 as a lead music artist on the Official Singles Chart in the United Kingdom with his “One Dance” single featuring Kyla and WizKid.
After selling 72,000 a few days ago, Drizzy‘s “One Dance” song that will appear on his upcoming Views From The 6 album jumped 20 places from #21 to claim that #1 spot.
Even though this is Drizzy Drake‘s first No. 1 in the UK as a lead artist, he has been #1 before as a featured artist with Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” single back in 2011!
