GRAMMY Pro caught up with GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and producer Andrew “Pop” Wansel for their “Songwriter Week” series a couple of days ago to ask him all about Nicki Minaj‘s “Your Love” single, which was his very first hit.
Pop explained why he wrote the song, how he came up with the idea, sending it to Nicki by mistake, what he thinks makes the track memorable, how he feels when he hears it today, and more.

According to the RIAA, Rae Sremmurd‘s “Throw Sum Mo” single featuring Nicki Minaj and Young Thug has gone Platinum.
This means that the Mike WiLL Made It-produced song has been purchased over 1 million times since it was first released on December 8th, 2014.
Congratulations to Rae, Barbie, and Thugger on this great achievement!
Yesterday, the 2016 Red Bull Culture Clash between Eskimo Dance, MixPak, Taylor Gang, and UKG Allstars took place at The O2 Arena in London, England.
During the MixPak team set, Popcaan (who was rocking a England soccer team jersey) debuted a new version of Drake‘s “One Dance” single, which had new vocals from the 6 God.
You can check it all out in the video after the jump below! I wonder if we will ever hear this version of “One Dance” in CDQ, or could Drizzy have just recorded it for this event only?
DJ Mustard collaborates with Nicki Minaj and Jeremih on his new single called “Don’t Hurt Me” that he also produced.
The track, which will appear on the follow-up to Mustard‘s 10 Summers album, includes a hook from Jeremih and two verses from the YM Barbie.
Hit the jump to listen to “Don’t Hurt Me“. It will be a TIDAL exclusive for the first week before becoming available on all other platforms!
According to the RIAA, Drake and Future‘s “Jumpman” collaboration reached triple Platinum status on May 25th.
This means that the Metro Boomin-produced song has sold over 3 million digital copies since it was first released on What A Time To Be Alive last year (September 20th).
Congratulations to the Drizzy and the Astronaut Kid on this great achievement!
Check out the official music video for Nadia Patric‘s “Trace Of You” single featuring Cory Gunz below.

Drake‘s latest studio album, VIEWS, has now been #1 on the Billboard “Top 200 Albums” chart for 5 weeks in a row after selling 152,000 units this past week.
Some more great news for Drizzy is that his “One Dance” single featuring Kyla and Wizkid is also still No. 1 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” chart. This makes it the 6 God‘s third week in a row at #1, but four weeks non-consecutively.
This last music artist to lead Billboard’s “Top 200 Albums” and “Hot 100” charts was Adele with her 25 album and “Hello” single. However, she did this for 6 weeks, so do you think Drizzy Drake can keep it going that long? 50 Cent was also the last rapper to have this achievement with The Massacre and “Candy Shop” back in 2005!
