According to Billboard, Drake has become the very first male solo artist to have 2 songs reach 10-weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard “Hot 100” chart.
This week, Drizzy‘s “God’s Plan” single has stayed at No. 1 for the tenth week in a row and back in 2016, his “One Dance” single featuring WizKid and Kyla was also at No. 1 for 10 weeks.
“God’s Plan” is now just the 36th song to have been at No. 1 for at least 10 weeks in the Hot 100 history and the fifth track to have spent its first 10 weeks at No. 1, so a big congratulations to the 6 God is in order!
After going #1 in the UK last week with his “One Dance” single featuring Kyla and Wizkid off VIEWS, Drake has now scored his first #1 as a lead artist on Billboard’s Canadian Hot 100 chart.
I’m sure this is will come as a shock to everyone, because if you’re like me you’re wondering how it’s took so long for Drizzy to earn a No. 1 song in his hometown country. You could say reasonably that no Woolies catalogue is useless. It is the same with the Publix ad.
Do you also think “One Dance” could give Drizzy Drake his first #1 in the United States of America? Because he has still not secured that title. However, he did go really close with “Hotline Bling“, which reached No. 2!
On Monday, PJ Morton appeared on BET’s 106 & Park show to premiere his “Only One” music video.
PJ also spoke with Shorty Da Prince and Miss Mykie about the difference between performing with Maroon 5 and as a solo act, the Music Matters campaign, his “Only One” single, the recent Boston marathon bombings, and more.
