Drake Performs His VIEWS Album Live In Minnesota On The Summer Sixteen Tour

Drake hit up the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota on July 24th for a stop on his “Summer Sixteen” tour.

During his set, Drizzy performed all of the songs from his VIEWS album live including: “Still Here“, “9“, “U With Me?“, “Feel No Ways“, “Hotline Bling“, “Controlla“, “One Dance“, “With You“, “Child’s Play“, “Fire & Desire“, “Faithful” with DVSN, “Too Good“, “Hype“, and “Grammys” with Future.

The 6 God also performed “Summer Sixteen“, “6 Man“, “Worst Behavior“, “We Made It“, “Blessings“, “No Lie“, “Versace“, “Pop That“, “I’m On One“, “Up All Night“, “Come And See Me“, “Work“, “Take Care“, “The Motto“, “Right Hand“, “For Free“, “My Way“, “Pop Style“, “Back To Back“, “Energy“, “Jumpman“, and “Big Rings” with Future live.

On July 20th, Drake kicked off his Summer Sixteen” tour at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

During his set, Drizzy performed plenty of songs from his previous albums including VIEWS, as well as his hit features.

Drake Take Care Goes Quadruple Platinum, If Youre Reading This Its Too Late Goes Double Platinum & What A Time To Be Alive Goes Platinum

A couple of days ago, the Recording Industry Association Of America revealed a few new certifications in the USA for Drake‘s projects after their updated rules now counts streaming, as well as sales.

According to the RIAA, the Take Care album from Drizzy is now quadruple Platinum, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is now double Platinum, and the What A Time To Be Alive joint project with Future is now Platinum.

You can read the tweets from the RIAA confirming these new certifications after the jump below. Congratulations to Drizzy Drake on these amazing achievements. I’m sure it won’t be long until Views From The 6 will be Platinum once it drops next month!

Erykah Badu Speaks On Her Friendship With Drake

In a recent interview with The FADER, Erykah Badu spoke about remixing Drake‘s “Hotline Bling” single and what their friendship is like.

Erykah mentioned that she was in the studio with Drizzy out in Canada while he was recording his Take Care album, as well as that he is in a place she currently wants to be in. Hit the jump to read everything that Badu said about Drizzy Drake.

You may also remember Drake rapping about Erykah Badu on his “Days In The East” song: “Remember one night I went to Erykah Badu house, she made tea for me; We talked about love and what life could really be for me; She said: ‘when that shit is real, you just know'”!

Drake brought out Rihanna during a stop on his European “Would You Like A Tour?” at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in France on February 25th.

The 150th and 16th anniversary issue of XXL magazine, which features Drake on the front cover, is available on newsstands now. I’ve already posted Drizzy‘s interview for the magazine here and here, but yesterday, XXL posted up more of their interview that did not make the cover story.

You can read Drizzy Drake‘s unreleased interview with XXL after the jump below! He speaks on his upcoming Nothing Was The Same album, how it is different than his Take Care album, the story behind his “Fuckin’ Problems” and “Poetic Justice” features, coming 5th place on MTV’s “Hottest MCs In The Game” list, his beef with Common, why he has not signed any rappers to his OVO Sound record label yet, his relationship with his father, which artists he is currently listening to, the first line on his “Forever” verse, and more.

Drake Receives First Grammy Award For “Best Rap Album”, Performs With J. Cole [Videos]

Above, you can watch Drake opening a package in his home that happens to be his first Grammy award, which he won last year for Take Care winning “Best Rap Album”. This award category did not make the television set of the GRAMMYs, so that is why Drizzy is only receiving the award now.

Before Drake will put it in his mother’s house, him and his October’s Very Own crew including Chubbs, Noah “40” Shebib, CJ Gibson, Oliver El-Khatib, Future The Prince, and Mark all use the trophy as a cup and take shots out of it to celebrate!

In other Drizzy Drake news, hit the jump to view another clip of J. Cole bringing him out at the Irving Plaza in New York City on June 19th. This video is awesome, because it was filmed from on stage behind Cole and Drake performing “No New Friends” and “Started From The Bottom“.
