In a recent interview with The FADER, Erykah Badu spoke about remixing Drake‘s “Hotline Bling” single and what their friendship is like.
Erykah mentioned that she was in the studio with Drizzy out in Canada while he was recording his Take Care album, as well as that he is in a place she currently wants to be in. Hit the jump to read everything that Badu said about Drizzy Drake.

Yesterday, D.R.A.M. accused Drake of robbing his “Cha Cha” single to create his “Hotline Bling” song, which both sample Timmy Thomas’ “Why Can’t We Live Together“, after the music video for “Hotline Bling“ was released.
It didn’t even help that when “Hotline Bling” first premiered on Beats 1 Radio’s OVO Sound Radio show, it was being called a “Cha Cha” remix. Anyway, Drizzy has addressed the similarities between both tracks in an interview with The FADER that has just surfaced online.

For their 100th issue, The FADER managed to get Drake on the front cover plus an interview as he hasn’t done a magazine interview since last year after Rolling Stone played with his words.
In the cover story, Drizzy spoke on starting to drive again, his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late project, Toronto, how he wants his legacy to be, his upcoming Views From The 6 album, the Quentin Miller reference songs, his beef with Meek Mill, and so much more.

Philly Swain collaborates with Christina Milian and YG on his brand new single called “Slow Down“.
The message behind the song is that people should enjoy their special moments, but just slow down drinking. Tina Turn Up also revealed to The FADER about what it was like working with Swain:
“Working with Philly is always crazy; he has words for weeks. We may come from different worlds, but Philly always finds a way to relate creatively. He has really helped me to express myself.”

Carrying on with promoting their “Obey Your Verse” campaign, Sprite have partnered up with The FADER to release a series of documentaries on Drake, Nas, Vince Staples, and Isaiah Rashad.
