Drake & Nicki Minaj Are Both Nominated At The 2017 Billboard Music Awards

The nominations for the 2017 Billboard Music Awards have been announced today and Drake was one of the most nominated music artists.

Drizzy was nominated a total of 22 times in the categories: “Top Artist”, “Top Male Artist”, “Top Billboard 200 Artist”, “Top Hot 100 Artist”, “Top Song Sales Artist”, “Top Radio Songs Artist”, “Top Streaming Songs Artist”, “Top Rap Artist”, “Top Rap Tour”, “Top Billboard 200 Album”, “Top Rap Album”, “Top Hot 100 Song”, “Top Selling Song”, “Top Radio Song”, “Top Streaming Song (Audio)”, “Top Collaboration”, “Top R&B Song”, “Top R&B Collaboration”, and “Top Rap Song”.

Nicki Minaj also received a nomination in the “Billboard Chart Achievement Award” category. This year’s Billboard Music Awards will air May 21st at 8:00PM on ABC. You can see who the Young Money artists’ competition is to win their awards below!

Drake Receives 11 & Nicki Minaj Earns 1 Nomination At The 2016 Billboard Music Awards

Yesterday, the finalists for the 2016 Billboard Music Awards were announced and Young Money’s Drake and Nicki Minaj both picked up nominations. This year’s awards show will be hosted by Ludacris and Ciara at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 22nd.

Drizzy earned 11 nominations in the categories: “Top Artist”, “Top Male Artist”, “Top Billboard 200 Artist”, “Top Hot 100 Artist”, “Top Song Sales Artist”, “Top Streaming Songs Artist”, “Top Rap Artist”, “Top Rap Album”, “Top Streaming Song”, and “Top Rap Song”.

The Barbie picked up 1 nomination in the “Top Dance/Electronic Song” category for David Guetta’s “Hey Mama” single. If you are wondering how Billboard choose their finalists, it is explained below. Nicki Minaj, Drake & Lil Wayne All Nominated At The 2015 Billboard Music Awards

The 2015 Billboard Music Awards nominations were revealed today! Out of Young Money, Nicki Minaj received 4 nominations, Drake received 3 nominations, and Lil Wayne received 1 nomination for Chris Brown’s “Loyal” song in the “Top R&B Song” category.

Nicki was nominated in the “Top Streaming Artist” category, the “Top Rap Song” category for “Anaconda“, and she will be going against Drizzy in the “Top Rap Artist” and “Top Rap Album” categories for their albums If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and The Pinkprint. Drizzy Drake has also been nominated for “Top Male Artist”.

This year’s Billboard Music Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, May 17th from 8PM EST on ABC. You can check out how the nominations for the categories are picked and the full list of nominations below!
