Drake Receives 3 New RIAA Certifications For Songs Off 3 Different Albums

On August 14th, Drake received 3 new certifications from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).

Drizzy‘s “Gyalchester” off More Life reached Platinum status, “Legend” off If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late reached double Platinum status, and “Controlla” off VIEWS reached triple Platinum status.

Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj Side To Side Collaboration Goes Triple Platinum

5 months after going double Platinum, Ariana Grande‘s “Side To Side” single featuring Nicki Minaj was certified triple Platinum on August 14th.

This means that the Max Martin, Alexander Kronlund and Savan Kotecha-co-produced collaboration has been bought and streamed over 3 million times since it was first released in May last year.

Drake VIEWS Album Goes Triple Platinum

According to the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA), Drake‘s VIEWS album reached triple Platinum status in the USA earlier this month on August 3rd.

This means that VIEWS has had over 3 million sales since it was first released on May 6th (digitally it was April 29th).

VIEWS is also the first project this year to go 3x Platinum, so a big congratulations to the 6 God on this amazing achievement!

According to the RIAA, Drake and Future‘s “Jumpman” collaboration reached triple Platinum status on May 25th.

This means that the Metro Boomin-produced song has sold over 3 million digital copies since it was first released on What A Time To Be Alive last year (September 20th).

Drake Nothing Was The Same Album Goes Triple Platinum

According to the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA), Drake‘s Nothing Was The Same album reached triple Platinum status in the USA on March 3rd.

This means that Nothing Was The Same has had over 3 million sales since it was first released on September 24th back in 2013. The project was certified double Platinum in June last year.

A big help with this verification is that the RIAA recently adjusted their rules to let streaming count towards album certifications. Congratulations to Drizzy on this great achievement!

According to Chart News, Drake‘s “The Motto” single featuring Lil Wayne that appeared on Take Care has just topped the 3 million mark in digital sales. Hopefully we will see another collaboration from these two on Drizzy‘s upcoming album, Nothing Was The Same, due out later this year.
