Nicki Minaj has come to the defense of her Young Money label-mate Drake after Pusha T sent shots to him in a song off his Daytona album called “Infrared“.
In the track, the G.O.O.D. Music president dissed the 6 God for having Quentin Miller help him write verses in the past: “It was written like Nas, but it came from Quentin”.
Even though Drizzy Drake has already released a diss record to Pusha responding to what he said, the Barbie has took to Twitter yesterday to defend Drizzy:
Young Thug‘s fiancee Jerrika Karlae recently hinted on Twitter that Drake will be featured on Thug and 21 Savage‘s upcoming “Issa” collaboration.
The tweet has since been deleted, but plenty of people managed to screenshot it to reveal exactly what it said:
“drake on Issa > #barzzz”
Thugger is currently on “The Boy Meets World” tour with Drizzy Drake, so it’s possible Drizzy recorded his verse while they’ve both been in the studio together in Europe!
A fan on Twitter yesterday asked Nicki Minaj: “What about the Jay Z collab?” to which she responded with: “It’s coming in 3 more days.”
The tweet has since been deleted, but could this be confirmation that Nicki and Jay have a new collaboration on the way? The last time they worked together on a song was back in 2010 on “Monster“.
Or could this tweet mean that a Minaj collabo with Jay Z‘s streaming service TIDAL (which the Barbiefully supports) is in the works? I guess we will have to wait until Sunday to see what this surprise is!
At the end of April, Draketweeted out a message saying that he thinks Meek Mill‘s intro on his Dreams & Nightmares album is one of the best moments in hip-hop of our generation.
“Dreams and Nightmares Intro really one of the best rap moments of our generation…”
Complex recently caught up with Meek for an interview and asked him about his thoughts on Drizzy‘s tweet. You can watch and read what he said below!
