Nicki has been working! The Young Money Barbie already has upcoming collaborations with Cam’ron, Future, Ciara, Chris Brown and Big Sean dropping this summer, but now we can add Mario and Wale to that list too.
Mario announces that his new single featuring Nicki Minaj is called “Somebody Else” and it will drop online on Monday (May 20th). The Polow Da Don-produced song will be released on iTunes the following day (May 21st).
In related news, Wale also recently played a snippet of an unheard Minaj verse on his Vine account. So this looks he will have a track on his forthcoming The Gifted album featuring the Barbie.
While on the red carpet at the Cash Money Records Pre-GRAMMY party, Mack Maine chopped it up with Rap-Up about the forthcoming projects from the YMCMB camp.

HipHopDX is reporting that Drake will be the executive producer of Aaliyah‘s upcoming posthumous album and that his new single will feature her vocals. We all know Drizzy is a big fan of Aaliyah, because he has mentioned it plenty of times in his interviews, has portraits of her in his crib, and even has a tattoo of her on his back! Also if you remember back in April, Draketold Tim Westwood that he has some “special things” in the works with Aaliyah and that it would be “great things for music, period”.
Champagne Papi will be debuting the single at the 2012 OVO Festival in Toronto, Canada this Sunday (August 5th). I’m really looking forward to hearing this, because one of my favorite Drake songs is “Unforgettable” featuring Young Jeezy, which sampled Aaliyah‘s “At Your Best (You Are Love)“.
The bro Jason Pollak from RunninWithIt did an exclusive interview with Lil Chuckee in New York City for his website and YoungMoneyHQ.com on Monday night after Chuckee‘s appearance on BET’s 106 & Park in the back of his Escalade.
They talked about the “Wop” music video and Lil Chuckee debuting it on 106 & Park, how the song came about, Lil Wayne’s “My Homies Still” music video, his recording process, YMCMB helping each other out with their different projects, releasing a video for a new remix he did over 2 Chainz’ “No Lie” track, feeling old in the game at just 16-years-old because he started in it when he was 9-years-old, the biggest shows he has performed at, skateboarding, what’s next for him, and more.
Drake spoke with MTV backstage in Houston, Texas last week about when he will start working on new music again and what upcoming tracks we can be looking forward to that be released soon! Drizzy says he will start work in a proper studio (not a tour bus booth) on June 18th and also says he will be featured on French Montana’s upcoming “Pop That” single also featuring Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, and Justin Bieber’s “Right Here” song produced by Hit Boy.

Drake will begin his “Club Paradise” summer tour with J. Cole, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, Waka Flocka Flame and French Montana on May 7th. He recently spoke with MTV about having music to perform at each show with all of the artists on the tour with him. This means that it is only 2 Chainz and Meek Mill who we have not heard on a track with Drizzy.
We can be looking forward to hearing a Meek Mill and Drake collabo dropping on Meek’s Dreamchasers 2 mixtape soon and on May 1st, 2 Chainz will be releasing his single called “No Lie” featuring Drizzy.
Drizzy Drake also told Billboard that he has already started recording his third album that he says will be different than Take Care, which he called a “down” album. You can read what Drake said about his forthcoming third album below:
