
The first week sales for Drake‘s More Life playlist are in! According to Nielsen Music, the project has moved around 505,000 units since first being released on March 18th, so a big congratulations to the 6 God is in order.
Breaking down the 505,000 number, there were 257,000 sales from streaming equivalent albums, 226,000 from traditional album sales, and 23,000 from TEA units.
As More Life also went No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, this is now Drizzy‘s seventh No. 1 album of his career, which makes him tied with Eminem and Kanye West for the second most No. 1 projects in hip-hop. Jay Z is in the lead with a total of 13.

Republic Records have revealed that Drake‘s new album, VIEWS, has sold around 1.2 million units (from digital sales and streaming), as well as been streamed over 250 million times worldwide since it’s release last week (April 29th).
In related news, the physical version of Drizzy‘s VIEWS project is available to purchase in stores and online today. Even though the album is only available exclusively on iTunes and Apple Music, it will be available on the other streaming platforms next week (May 13th).

During his VIEWS album listening party at LA VIE nightclub in Toronto, Canada on April 29th, Drake revealed to the crowd that he got a text message telling him he had sold 630,000 copies of his latest album in just one night.
It’s also looking very possible that Drizzy will Platinum in the first week with VIEWS as Chart News tweeted the project is looking to do between 1 million in sales, but 1.2 million with streaming.

According to BuzzFeed, Drake‘s forthcoming Views From The 6 album will be an exclusive release on Apple Music for the first week starting on April 29th.
If you recall back to last year, Drizzy signed a deal with Apple that was reportedly for $19 million. After the 7 days, you will be able to hear and purchase VFT6 from other platforms.

The first week numbers for Nicki Minaj‘s third studio album, The Pinkprint, are in! According to HITS Daily Double, the project sold around 201,000 copies since it was released on December 15th.
